Times of day

An hour on the clock dial is called "point (of the) clock" .
"Five o'clock" is .
When several units of time are expressed together, the larger ones come first,
e.g. "Wednesday afternoon three o'clock", not "3 p.m. on Wednesday".
The of may be omitted.


Reduplication of verbs

When verbs are reduplicated, like "ask ask", the effect is to minimise the action.
could be translated as "have a look at", and as "have a little drink".
"one" may be used in the middle, and pronounced with a neutral tone:.
